Grant was selected to participate in the Bush Barn Art Fair for the Salem- Keizer School District. That is his painting of a tree at the very top. He had to mix his own paint to make the brown for the trunk. He is very proud of that little piece of artwork.
Then when we got home... there was a very nice man waiting for us. Don't know his name but he is the grounds keeper for the Astoria Column. He returned Grant's parachute man we had lost when he threw it over the side of the Astoria Column. How cool is that? It pays to write names and addresses on your children's toys before you throw them to eternity! Now we will have to wait until Deacon's is returned.

The Tornado!
First she asked for some milk.... then a straw................................................
Then she blew until there wasn't a drop of milk in the cup........... then she was done. Now every time I give her a straw I have to preface it with, "No Blowing Bubbles!"

Spring Break Sleep Over!
Collecting more cool Aunt and Mom points is one of my priorities so we had some fun Wednesday night with our cousins. Set up a tent on the Red Rug and Let the kiddos camp out. They went to bed WAY too late and woke up way too early, but they had an awesome time!

Cascade Head....
Hey lovers of the outdoors! I just had to share these amazing photos of an awesome hike we took with my Dad during our 2011 Lincoln City Foulger Family Reunion. As you can see it is pretty kid friendly, we had a few adults with us who toted children as needed, but over all my kids did great. What kid doesn't complain about walking anyway. Its good for them! We saw animals and insects and the view was AMAZING!!! Google it, then DO IT!

$1.25 TUESDAY!
Grant is forever inviting the Weber's over for dinner. So I caved and let them come over for $1.25 Happy Meal Day at Micky D's. What a great American pastime. Next time I'll have the Weber's over for "real" food and not this fast kind. I can cook, its just nice sometimes when I can feed all my kids for five bucks!

Just a Dusting but still so much fun!
Deacon and the Big Boys!
Grant and Madeline made a snowman!
The huge snowball the big boys and deacon made!
Snow is fun, cleaning up after it is NOT!
Yes I made Hot Chocolate from scratch, cause I'm that awesome!

DeMoLiTiOn!
The Washing Machine overflowed for two hours on Sept. 23, 2010. Hour by hour the water damage got worse and worse until almost every room in the down stairs was effected. I think I got my first gray hair from this experience!
What used to be our living room and Office. The kids thought it was great to jump on the puffed up carpets. Serv Pro tried to save the carpets by pulling out the padding and blowing under to dry the sub floor and carpets out.
Preslee's room was effected the most. Everything had to come out of there. Talk about traumatic for a 10 year old!
After about four days of trying to dry out the bathrooms, the tile had to be ripped out. Talk about a dirty nasty job. The guys who did it were sweating like dirty pigs when they were done!
After Dustin got home from his hunting trip, having no idea what had happened while he was gone, he got to work tearing out the rest of everything so he could get started on restoring our home. The only good thing about not having my husband home when this stinky stuff happened is that I made all the decisions!
This was our dining room table for a few weeks while we were restoring. I did most of my cooking on a skillet my Mother in Law loaned me, and learned many new amazing uses for a rice cooker. I am not a fan NASTY microwave food so I still tried tried to cook for my family as much as possible.
Deacon was Dustin's right hand man in this. Here they are prepping the floor for WOOD!
When you don't have any furniture to jump on a big pile of boxes will do just fine! Stay tuned for pictures of our new and improved house!!!
