The Rock at the CROC
We planned a family day an got to spend a whole lot of time playing together. If I was a rich woman, I would have a rock wall in my house. And I would have great arms!

I am awesome!
Raise them up......
Quick update on the farm. We are officially vertical! The tomatoes are tall and mighty. I have been pinching out the suckers and have one strong main stem. Waiting for four trusses on each plant before I pinch out the tops to stop growth. The squash are growing a foot a day and now they will be lovingly guided up the fence and across. Watered with the kiddie pool water this morning! Cause we are super green in Oregon and nothing goes to waste! Sprayed the artichokes with a soapy/ peppermint mixture to get tiny little life suckers off them! It worked, they died! The bugs, not the plant! Happy gardening!

The Urban Farm
It's deep in my bones. I go out into my fenced, suburban backyard and forget the cares of the city. I weed my garden and tend my flock. What a great feeling! Now if I could just get the tomato plants to fold laundry and the chickens to cook the eggs we would be doing so much better!

Farmer ME!
It's been forever, but since I do this for mostly me it does not have to be perfect! I've been hard at work on the urban farm and these are our chicks when they were little. Now they are big but I will have to post pics tomorrow!

Snow day!
We got a dusting in February. They cancelled school. The snow was gone before noon. But the kids had fun.
Snow means Christmas in March
We got 8 inches of snow in the middle of March. I decided we should make the best of it so we made Christmas cookies and decided to deliver them. I let my kids decide our victims, and we set out. We got a few puzzled looks, but overall, it's pretty fun to get frosted sugar cookies in the middle of March!
